Santa Maria receives Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence for Second Straight Year

 

CARROLL, Iowa (July 2017) - In 2016, Santa Maria Vineyard & Winery received the Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor, which is based on the consistently great reviews the company has earned. The same holds true for 2017 as Santa Maria has announced receiving the award for the second straight year.

 

The Trip Advisor certificate is only awarded to businesses that consistently maintain an overall rating of at least 4 out of 5 over a period of one year. “This recognition helps travelers identify and book properties that regularly deliver great service. Trip Advisor is proud to play this integral role in helping travelers feel more confident in their booking decisions,” says Trip Advisor Vice President of Industry Marketing, Heather Leisman.

 

Santa Maria recently announced a shift in focus at their winery as the Carroll, Iowa-based producer of award-winning wines closed their restaurant to focus on what they love most, winemaking. Their renewed brand focus revolves around bringing folks together to celebrate each other’s company. Santa Maria’s restaurant is now utilized as a tasting room where they serve light fare to accompany their award-winning wines.

 

In addition, Santa Maria hosts live entertainment in their outdoor courtyard every Thursday night during the summer. “The entertainment has been an absolute hit with our customers,” says co-owner Rose Guinan. “While we still serve our famous pizzas, salads, hamburgers and Santa Maria Smoked Brats during our live events, people really enjoy sipping on a glass of wine while watching the live music.”

Owners John and Rose Guinan have been working towards creating an atmosphere of enjoyment, not only at their winery located along Highway 30 in Carroll, but at external events as well. As part of Santa Maria’s new focus the company will be introducing catering services to local area communities, which is a service that many local businesses and organizations are already looking forward to.
